ABOUT
Erman Özdemir is an architect, İnterior designer and urban designer based in Istanbul. He was born in 1986, in Izmit, Turkey. He studied architecture in Istanbul Technical University and completed a double major programme including interior design, and also studied as an exchange student at Cologne University of Applies Sciences in Germany. He completed his bachelor's degree in architecture in 2009 and in interior design in 2010 and received honorable mention award in Archiprix 2010 with his graduation project. He continued his studies in Istanbul Technical University with urban design master programme and at the same time started his professional design career in Sevki Pekin's studio in Istanbul. He worked in a few more architectural companies and involved in many architectural design projects in various scales and functions and pariticipated in national architectural design competitions with a few awarded projects. In 2012 he continued his architectural practice in SPD office in istanbul and become the head of the design group which consist of 30 architects. In that period he had the chance to design and realize projects in large scales, from shopping malls to high rise office buildings, housing settlements, hotels and mixed use projects. He produced lots of conceptual projects in different scales from a single villa to a 26 million square meter urban planning project, commonly in Turkey and also in Oman, UAE, Hungary and USA. Recently he completed his urban design master thesis named "Evaluation of effects of private spaces changed by users on public spaces" and continues his works independently as a designer architect.
